Fountain Group - Tampa, FLSubmitted by drewzhrodague on Tue, 2004-06-01 19:51.
The Fountain Group Based upon the very positive references of the Fountain Group, I have just applied to work for them. I'm looking forward to continuing to develop strategies to face and overcome the significant challenges currently confronting the Business Environment in the US and thereby contribute to leading my customers toward increased productivity and profitability. Richard Jackson Out of the 4 paychecks I received from The Fountain Group, only one was correct. They were very quick to resolve the issue, that is, until the last one. They were rude and very disrespectful to me. I will NEVER work for them again. who are they? Do they have a website? Please get back to me, or leave some information. Thanks. I had no problems and finished an eight month contract with The Fountain Group. Overall it was a good experience and the job was exactly as the recruiter had described before joining. I would recommend them to contractors seeking new positions. I had the displeasure of dealing with "Anthony" regarding a software development position. I was repeatedly asked the same questions and my own questions were unanswered after numerous calls and e-mail conversations. He was unable to answer even the vaguest questions about the scope of work, expected duration, or technical skill set required. After ignoring my questions for several days, he then proceeded to try setting up an interview without even establishing whether it would be a waste of time to drive an hour to meet with his client. Then there's the matter of his phone calls. He calls your home number several times in a row, without a single pause between when he doesn't get an immediate answer. Even if someone is home, there are a number of reasons why they might not answer - that is what voice mail is for. When I let him know I'd interviewed for been offered, and accepted another position in the few days it took him to *not* answer my questions, he insulted me (calling me unprofessional and claiming I wasn't serious about the position) implying it was somehow my fault for not 'being patient'. This from the guy who wanted to rush me into an interview without establishing whether I was even qualified. The guy was an ignoramus and reflects poorly on his company. VERY poorly. I asked him not to contact me again. My last paycheck is being held for over one (1) month although the Vice President (client) that I worked for signed off on my expenses. They are supposedly waiting for the client to pay. So for expenses of some $230 they are holding my $1200 paycheck. To make matters worse, Anthony is not responding to any emails nor is his boss. This is very unprofessional and probably illegal. I may end up having to get an attorney friend to intervene. Other than that the company was Ok, when you are no longer making them money you are nil, NULL, nothing, nada to them. These guys are the best if you see them out there. Give em a call. Great candidates. I have worked with TFG since January and have had no problems that weren't quickly resolved. Many of the postings here are old, old old. I have found that most pay problems begin with the client company even if they say all has been approved! I am ready to sue them for fraud. I dealt with Amber, Josh and Chris, who submitted my resume for a job I was NOT qualified for. The client company, Raytheon, kept my resume and months later requested an immediate interview. Fountain did not verify the job. I was interviewed for a different position the next morning and it went well. IN FIVE PHONE CALLS that day Fountain refused to verify the job description or pay range (which I considered to be their responsibility), insisting that I simply supply a desired wage. They lied about dealing with the hiring manager when they were dealing with another Management Recruiting Company, and told me at the end of the day that I had a bona fide job offer -- even verifying it by email. Supposedly, I only had to accept or reject the offer after my nterview with another company the next Monday. When I turned down the other job on Monday, they claimed I had been "passed" on after all in an email that morning from Raytheon -- AND THEY FAILED to notify me until AFTER I rejected the second job. I SMELL A RAT. I manage a data center for large insurance company in Orlando, FL. I signed up The Fountain Group as one of my staffing suppliers in 2002. I decided to take the time to write something positive after a recent experience I had with their recruiting manager. One of our servers supporting a critical reporting system crashed and we required someone with a very rare industry related skill set to fix the problem. They delivered by working through the holiday of Fourth of July to find a consultant who could fix our problem. (And even charged a very fair rate!) My experience with contract employees has not always been positive but I will say TFG tends to get the right people and the experience has been very positive. I would choose them should I decide to make a career change and feel very comfortable with everyone on the team that I have come into contact with. Sincerely, M. Huber I would like to take a moment to post a recent dialogue with a valued contractor with a potential payroll issue. This post contains ALL of the facts and not just a one sided view written in anger. It is important that all of the facts to a situation are known when making a decision. As consumers we can get angry with a real estate agent if our home does not sell, a dentist when a cavity is diagnosed and a recruiting company when things do not go perfectly. This post will point out that sometimes the end client is the source of the problem and the agency can only do soo much. In this particular instance, the client manager was not approving time in order to meet the payroll deadline. Eric, The job is interesting and my immunology background has been of great benefit--now I just have to get the hang of all this computer-speak. Referring to your comment of taking the job personally, it is a credit to you and your company that you have such solid work ethic and treat your clients with calm, even when faced with someone pitching an all out hissy fit. I would gladly recommend you for an advancement and raise as you not only worked hard to meet my needs, but you also created a Fountain Group lifetime supporter. Nowadays, not too many people are willing to go the extra distance to help satisfy clients, so when that does happen, as a client, it takes us by surprise. Should anyone ask me for a temp-to-perm agency, you and Charity have ensured that The Fountain Group is the only one on my list. Thank you, elizabeth -----Original Message----- No problem. Other than this how do you like the job? Have a good afternoon. You probably noticed that I do take it probably to personal b/c I want to make sure we are NEVER messing around with someone’s payroll. It is way to sensitive b/c most of us have bills that don’t stop coming to our homes! Thanks and call me any time, Eric From: ethomson99@l.com [mailto:ethomson99@aol.com] Hello Eric, I received and reviewed your email attachments (which were a great deal more help to me than just talking about the problem!). I agree with your records when compared to my own and whole-heartedly apologize for the aggravation I have caused you. I would like to mention that your efforts in this matter helped define the problem and bring it to a conclusion where no amount of emailing was able to accomplish to date. If this should ever happen with any other client, the first order of business should be supplying the spreadsheet and the schedule of pay dates--the rest would be self explanatory and the client would have a clearer idea of any problems encountered. Thank you for taking this task to heart, I greatly appreciate your efforts and will be sending a similar apology to Charity. Now I will head over to my supervisor and then on to HR for a discussion regarding their approach to addressing the needs of their employees in a timely manner. Again, thank you for taking action, Most Sincerely, I worked fot TFG about a year and a half ago, and stayed with them about 9 months. I found it to be a great company to work for. They had a solid system in place, and I never had any issue with anything. I found them to be very understanding, I had to leave on very short notice due to family issues. To anyone that might be in the market give these guys a shot. Hello All, Thanks, |

I had a very good experience on a 4 month contract with The Fountain Group. The end client backed out on payment of the last 60 hours of work. TFG made good on it without hesitation.
I would recommend them to anyone seeking SAP related positions.
