I was going to write something up here about this company and I not suprised there are others who feel the same way that I do. However, there is one thing that is not up here and it should be. This company violates employment laws. They ask you for you social security # to apply for jobs and say if you dont give it to them they cannot submit you to their clients. I never heard of giving your ss# to apply for a job......something doesn't sound right about this company. They say their client requires it but when I called up the company to whom i was being submitted they said that is not legal and there is no such policy because it violates US Law. Erica  Lookup Candidate I have received job solicitations from "Charles Cameron", very similar to the above postings, who does not answer my emails about whether or not I have been submitted to the employer. Note in the above examples there is no phone number to call Charles or Erica. This is unethical. Your resumes are probably being withheld from submission to keep you out of the bidding so that Algomod's H-1B and L-1 visa foreign workforce may be substituted. They lobby Congress for more aliens, since no Americans are available. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/H1BClassAction/ I used to get emails from this company all the time. They were usually headed up with the "Our records indicate you have experience in (whatever,)" as well as the helpdesk positions. The funny part is I had to look up some of the things I was "experienced" in. Emails to this place went unanswered. I took a job from this company and I have never been more happy. And just because you cant find a job don't use people on H1B Visas as scapegoats. ... and just because you're a guest in this country don't take it upon yourself to decide what's best for us. In this country we have a right to decide who we allow in. Your self-righteous tone belies the very real possibility that whereever you're from, your immigration laws are far more restrictive than ours. Please enjoy your temporary stay in our country and refrain from telling us how to run it. this company is horrible. They give very low rates and contracts always end early. I use to work there and i found another company that treats their consultants with respect. There are tons of other IT Staffing companies out there. DONT USE THIS ONE I agree with the original post. They told me I was in a 1 year plus contract and they ended it in 2 months. They dont tell you the truth about the projects. I had no negative feedback from the company. I was told I did great and thats all i was needed for. They also tried to help me find another project w/them but I dont trust them.....and neither should YOU!!!! This company is a high producer of SPAM. I got 5 e-mails from them that did not match my qualifications at all. They obviously have a computer that does all the resume searching and e-mailing. This place puts recruiting to shame considering I am a recruiter and I get e-mails to be a programmer. The company seems to have sub-standard practices, per my personal experience. The companies website doesn't say much for itself either if they even just read the google magic formula they could have easily more visitors |

This company is horrible...i use to work for them and it seemed that every agency that contact me for jobs said that atleast 3 other people from Algomod were looking to leave. The people there are highly weird. This place puts recruiting to shame.
The rates are low too..so dont be a consultant for them.
