I get the kinds of emails that wipro sent me all the time -- each sentance is typed on its own line, and it is asking me to fill out a whole bunch of questions as if it were a form. This is another example of a recruiter blasting emails to every address s/he can find. The job description does not even closely match my skillset, and the job is 1700 miles away, in a place I don't ever want to go. This is not how to attract potential candidates!

I find it upsetting that, as a job seeker, I am required to type things in little boxes, send cover letters, and be better-than-professional, when I get things like this.

Wipro is still at it. I received this email not too long ago. I'm nowhere near qualified for this, and don't really have any interest in going to Bangalore.

Required Skills

Good understanding of WLAN Standards like 802.11a/b/g, Blue Tooth
Technology
Good understanding of RF Design, Digital Design and Object-oriented
programming
Hands on experience on RF test & characterization at IC level using
Tester
Hands on experience in Spectrum Analyzer and Vector Network Analyzer.
Good understanding of Mixed Signal Testing fundamentals.
Good understanding of RF test fixtures.
Understanding of quality and reliability requirements, tests and
procedures
Understanding of ESD and latch-up and other electrical, mechanical and
thermal failures
Ability to interface with customers and provide customer support
Excellent documentation skills and process orientation

Responsibilities

Definition of Design for Test requirements, together with Design and
Customers, definition of Test Plans.
Development of production test programs, characterization programs and
reliability test programs
Silicon Validation of advanced designs, characterization to datasheet,
and intensive device debug in a cross functional environment
Provide convincing validation and characterization reports using
industry standard tools for data analysis
Development of Test Programs for IC test on wafers and after packaging
Yield, Test Time, Test throughput and Cost optimization in
collaboration with fabrication sites.
Perform in-depth failure analysis both in evaluation phase and
production phase in collaboration with the reliability and design teams to
identify root cause of failures
Drive yield improvement, and cost reduction in production
Required Experience

5 - 7 years test and product engineering experience
Have successfully taken multiple projects from concept to development
to manufacturing

Educational Qualifications BE/ B.Tech. / M.Tech.
