As a Vice President with the company, it is always unfortunate to hear that one of our representatives has not conducted themselves well with the public. As every office operates independently there can be huge differences in training, and what is appropriate and what is not, even within the company compliance guidelines. It's just like when you walk into one chain store and the customer service is great and you can tell that management has trained the employees well but the store down the street with the same name and a different manager has horrible customer service.

Our home office is always working on helping our offices get better so please do not hesitate to contact them with the name of this rep.

My sincerest apologies to you.

I thought everyone was a Vice-President after a month in the business.
And I need no explanation of your company. I was a personal friend of Art William's, grew up with the biggest scamster, Joe Ensor, Primerica has ever had and had a brother who who an SNSD.

I really don't think being a RVP with Primerica has any weight anywhere but..in PRIMERICA.

Well, thanks, but it means little.

I'm not sure how each office can be trained differently. Surely, you have standard training manuals that everyone learns from? At best, there should be some personal variations, not huge differences. Most of the chain stores I frequent have equally bland non-service all around, so I don't agree with that either.

As with Fran below, it's been my experience that most people above mail clerk in a financial institution are vice presidents. Using a local company as an example, everyone from Senior Call Center reps, to Perl programmers, to marketing people have the title of Vice President.

My suggestion to you would be to train your people better, and have them read the resumes of potential candidates a little better. They may save themselves some grief and hassle.

I attended a career seminar with Primerica. I found the office to be most professional. The people were very nice and very positive. It was a breath of fresh air compared to the daily grind of my current job. The financial concepts they taught were incredible. This company is doing a great service for the regular folks in America. I joined part time. What do I have to lose? $199.00 to get financially educated about investing. What if the business works for me? That's a double.

It is not a transgression or a crime Gryffyx to be contacted by a legitimate A++ company like Primerica or Citigroup from these job search sites. Most Primerica representatives do not conduct business this way, but only a few do. I have friends that are very successful in this business and they run very professional businesses. I even own life insurance and investments with their company and have never been harassed by one of their agents to join this business. I have been offered the opportunity to work with them and if I decide to do this it will be an honor to work for an honest, genuine, highly ethical and moral company...oh yeah and legitimate company too.

I recently graduated from college and signed up for Monster.com. Every financial service company contacted me for a mortgage, insurance or investment field I am not interested in. I simply told Prudential, Met Life, American Express (Ameriprise) and many others "no" and that was it. That is all you have to do if you don't like the company or are not interested, just say "no thank you" and hang up. I have received at least 50 calls and emails from these jokers as Gryffyx called Primerica. But, are they really jokers or a scam or are they legitimate businesses that paid for the service to access resumes from Monster.com and other resume sites? Yes, most are legitimate like Primerica and have the right to contact people that are searching for jobs. It's not criminal Gryffyx because if it was, then those 50 financial service companies that contacted me would be in big trouble with the NASD, the insurance industry, state and federal regulators, and the mortgage industry.

No, it's not. Nothing has been posted that I can see that would indicate that it is, other than a few trolls that want to put up "blank is a crook!"

But you seem to be missing the point.

I am a technical professional. There is nothing in my background that suggests I would be able to sell you a $10 bill for a dollar, let alone insurance or financial services. I have *NO* financial background, and *NO* sales background. I very clearly state on my online profiles that I am not interested in sales, financial, insurance, or work-at-home situations.

I used to continually tell these companies "no," but it did no good.

As other posters have stated, I signed up for online job boards to get a job in my field. I clearly state this on these sites.

The fact that Cornerstone, Primerica, American Express, MARRS, etc, etc. still email and call me after being hit in the head with the online equivalent of a "No Soliciting" sign indicates that they are just randomly sending out things with no regards to whom they are contacting. This is not something that I consider being done with integrity or honesty.

I'm happy that you were able to graduate with a financial degree. At least they have a reason to contact you.

But you believe that a company attempting to recruit someone who is openly hostile towards them is ok? I don't.

I was leaving the parking garage yesterday after parking my car, and was approached by a young man. He made some sort of 'small-talk', then asked if I knew anyone who was looking for work. I happen to be seeking part-time work, and he made an appointment with me for this afternoon, in a rather odd location - a vacant building downtown. I asked him the name of the company, and he said he was in a hurry, and all would be explained to me at the appointment. It seemed odd to be considered for a 'management' position, as I have no financial background, as I pointed out to him. He said "No problem, we provide all the training you need".

This morning, he left a message on my phone to confirm our appointment for 2:30, and he must have forgotten his training, because he slipped and said "This is so-and-so from Primerica." That name rang a bell, so I proceeded to the internet, where I learned the truth. This job is not for me. It may work great for some folks, who don't mind harassing their friends and family, but I am not one of them.

I'm sure I have several more calls from him by now, as it's almost 5pm here, but I've turned the ringer off on the phone...

I recently submitted an application to work for Primerica, attended the 40 hours pre-licensing course, and am preparing to take the Life Insurance & Variable Annuity Licensing Exam. I have known about Primerica for over 20 years, but never considered working for the company.

With the recent changes in economy (inflation), there is a need to be better educated about personal finances in order to survive in the future. Primerica is giving me the tools to better prepare my family and educate others.

On must not let the inappropriate actions of agents alleging to be with Primerica to discourage them from attaining this knowlege.

i think that primerica is a great thing. What is better then helping people get out of debit its the greatest feling in the world. The hardest part is that everone today is expecting to get scamed its just the way we think today. Its not a scam unless the rong person does it. there is a right way and a rong way to do primerica. U can't be put pressure on people the ones that do are ones are giveing them a bad name we are here to help not to make u do bussiness with us. I hate when i see people at malls and stores trying to make people come work for primerica its not all about geting people to work for u make u big bucks its about helping people. U help someone then u show what u can do they would be so impressed they like to come join u help people to. Thats how i like to do primerica but everone has here own ways.
