About Recruiter RaterSubmitted by drewzhrodague on Sat, 2005-11-19 16:47.
I have been a UNIX systems administrator for 10 years now. I've worked at big conglomerates, little startups, and everything in between -- most of it doing contract work. As you can imagine, I run into recruiters quite often -- they're my bread and butter. So why this site which seems to flame recruiters? Like all industries, there are good people and bad people. Some folks get the job done, whereas others make a mess, and don't give a shit. This is where this website comes in, to expose the good, the bad, and the ugly -- before you submit your resume. Wherever there is a shining beacon of the movement of Industry, we want to issue praise. Wherever there is some jerkoff interfering with someone's livelihood, we want to issue public condemnation and humiliation. This website is designed to post recruiting organizations, and allow users to discuss the experience they've had with them -- good or bad. Users may post contact information, including an office-address, phone number, website, and email address. Users may also post comments and provide details, or whatever. Posts are supposed to be kept on-topic, and not include SPAM or porn, there are other websites for that. Bogus posts are moderated by users to keep out the riff-raff. Recruiters also tend to visit this site -- some of them have no web presence, and this website is what shows-up in a Google search. Supprise! This is the Internet, where noone knows you're a dog, until we post about it. Are you a recruiter and have a problem with that? Fix your business practices, pay your salaries on-time, and don't be a jerk in the Industry. Your good deeds can speak for you, while your evil deeds will haunt you. This is a public website. We warrant nothing, expressed, implied, assumed, or imagined. Although we try to keep things less offensive and safe for work (SFW), junk, SPAM, and bullshit are still a problem. Anonymous posts are not posted, you have to log in to be able to post. You can't sue us for slander or libel, or we will make fun of you and your lawyers. Enjoy, dear users! And visit these related websites as well: fthisjob and fthatjob. That so many folks seem to be 'flaming' recruiters is merely a reflection of the diversity in quality of recruiters. I have worked with many recruiters and could not live without them. There are those who are an asset and credit to their profession. Sadly there are those, albeit a small number, who fall into the category of being less than professional. I can count those on two hands, while the good ones are numerous. |
